Omni-ID Prox Product Description
The Omni-ID Prox is ideally suited for IT asset identification, where increased visibility and asset registration are essential. It is designed for the tracking of smaller high-value assets, electronic devices, communications/network cards, servers, and other assets or applications that demand high performance. What's more, the tag's compact form factor and extremely small footprint make it a discreet solution for items with little available real estate. Omni-ID Prox as standard has a printed label finish, and is also available with a low-profile ruggedized rigid case for applications with harsh environmental requirements.
Omni-ID Prox Product Review
In the small durable asset tag class, the Omni-ID Prox was first in nearly every evaluation criteria earning it a Wizard's Choice Award.
The Omni-ID Prox comes in two form factors: an ABS encased durable tag and a smaller, less expensive, label finished tag. Our team focused this evaluation on the ABS encased model.
Performance Tests:
For such a small tag, the Prox gave a strong performance in every category: on metal, on plastic/near metal, on water, and even in water.
Durability:
All of the Omni-ID tags have an IP-68 rating. IP-68 is the highest rating for the durable tags. The temperature tolerances are respectable and we like the option to use either adhesive, bolt or rivet methods of attachment.
Features and Price:
With 240 bits of memory, the Prox can hold your EPC data. There is also a European-tuned version available. What our team found most surprising is that when we ordered 100, the Prox is one of the least expensive tags and delivery only took a week.
For a small, durable asset tag, the Omni-ID Prox is an outstanding product and a Wizard's choice.
