  • Louis Sirico is an industry-recognized RFID evangelist. In February 2007, he launched RFIDWizards.com, a global community of experts in RFID technology. The site has expanded to become IndustryWizards.com, with a distribution of over 60,000 professionals.

    Mr. Sirico has over 24 years of experience with Fortune 1000 companies, US Military, US and non-US Civilian Government Agencies in architecting, building, delivering, and maintaining a wide range of global IT solutions, including logistics and RFID systems. He has managed 27 different product lines, an 8 ?+ million budget, 110 people across 11 time zones, and a global data network infrastructure supporting 70 countries.

    Mr. Sirico also has over eight years of hands-on experience with RFID technology. He has implemented RFID solutions for Target Corporation, Kimberly-Clark, Chevron, The Department of Homeland Security (passport tracking for US-Visit), John Deere, Mack Truck, Dana Brake and Chassis, and many others.

    Earlier in his career, he co-founded and served as President of BuyRFID.com. He is also a founding member of EPCglobal Inc. and sits on the Hardware Action Group. He has developed RFID solutions for Fortune 100 companies both in North America and in Europe, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security. The successes of his businesses lead him to be nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by the Entrepreneur Council of Maryland in 2002. In early 2004, BuyRFID.com was acquired by Traxus Technologies. In May of 2005, he served as one of 15 Subject Matter Expert?s (SMEs) for the CompTIA RFID+ certification exam.

    Mr. Sirico is most widely recognized for his published articles, found at http://IndustryWizards.com. He is credited with hundreds of professional speaking engagements as well as television and radio appearances. Additionally, he has provided industry analysis and RFID subject matter expertise to: CBS News, CNBC / MSN, Fox News, the MIT Enterprise Forum (mitef.org), Neikki Business Publications, SAP Information Magazine, Inbound Logistics Magazine, Piranet, American Freedom Radio, and the Arkansas Democratic Gazette. He teaches RFID technology to students and staff at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
